Making Bazzite for the Steamdeck boot to Desktop first
Sooo, this is gonna need a bit of context..
I am one of the founders of Northwest Florida State College's cybersecurity club and cybersecurity team. We're getting two SteamDecks as portable workstations (mainly for pen-testing and exploit demonstrations on the go).
As such, we won't be using these for gaming and want to make them boot to desktop mode.
I'm not totally sure how to go about this, other than forking it and potentially losing system updates. Does anyone have any ideas?

Boot animations being overwritten
Any time I apply a new boot animation or suspend animation from within Decky Loader, it appears to overwrite them shortly afterwards. Not sure why it does this. I am on Steamdeck LCD

Disabling ZRAM and making a swap partition in storage
TL;DR: Will disabling zRAM and using a swap partition instead screw up anything on Bazzite Kinoite?
On the Steamdeck, we're using ZRAM (Swapfile on compressed RAMDisk), but in one of my use-cases, which is ALVR and VRChat, I'm encountering problems.
My Steamdeck does run it well, but that's if it actually runs. I noticed if too many players are in (even with "Poor and Below" avatars hidden), the system RAM (all 16 gigabytes) will fill up and cause the system to hang indefinitely. This is with ZRAM on. Thus, for my use case, ZRAM needs to go.
I know how to go about doing this with a normal linux install, but I am not sure if doing this on an Atomic install will screw up anything.
I've already tried making a swapfile as to not bother with a swap partition but that did not work (not in /var, /etc, or in the root directory; Swapon just didn't like it), so that's a wash. Any ideas?
