The round Earth model explains why the sky behaves the way it does in a way that a flat Earth model cannot account for. If you want to claim that the sky doesn’t affect the ground, you'll need to explain why so many observable phenomena from timekeeping to the curvature of the Earth, only make sense within the context of a spherical Earth.
It’s not a matter of "sky" determining the "ground" it's about how the two work together, which is fully explained by the globe model.

Explain 24 hour sun pt 2
The Equation of Time does affect how solar time differs from clock time but doesn’t contradict the 24-hour sun observed in polar regions. It doesn't disprove a spherical Earth, and it works perfectly within the framework of a globe model. Therefore this argument does not pose any valid challenge to the Earth being round.
