Update: fixed the above issue, and following @wolfyreload's suggested commands, my Wi-Fi ping is now also fixed.

Update: A new antenna did not change the ping results. USB tethering improves and stabilizes ping. Drivers are all up to date and active.
This is a comparability issue between bazzite and the MediaTek WiFi module.

Yep that sounds like an issue to be fixed.
But I did not have any games open, I always close games before going to sleep. All I had open was Firefox.
