Bazzite finds itself incapable of entering sleep from desktop mode
Instead, it just disconnects from the Internet and everything slows down.
Shutdown prompts reboot into black screen with no UI.
Severe error.

Need info on your hardware, I am not experiencing any such issue on my end
10 minutes no activity and the computer has still not gone to sleep.
Bazzite refuses to complete the suspend process. "Already in progress." Screen flashing.

My hardware is AMD. It's a perfectly beautiful computer.
Had to click shut down.
Kind of terrified of this OS if going to sleep is such a dangerous action.

Disconnecting from the internet and slowing down sounds kinda similar to the sleep issue I described in https://discord.com/channels/1072614816579063828/1327309080200740924/1330534419148312729
Vaguely similar hardware too.
Yep, looks like the same wifi controller
With the same sleep blocker
Sleep blocker??
Yep that sounds like an issue to be fixed.
But I did not have any games open, I always close games before going to sleep. All I had open was Firefox.
I have the non wifi version of that motherboard so no wifi controller that can block sleep. In my case the network disconnected because systemd stops the netwok service when preparing to sleep.
Yeah it does
I think it's a problem with the firmware based on what he said
Experiencing this same issue on my build running Bazzite-Nvidia-gnome-open
AMD 7600
RTX 4070
ASUS Rog Strix B650e-i gaming WiFi
Looks like the fix in the link above works
