Recording camera footage through OBS in HDR?
Hi there EposVox community. Long time lurker and love how much content has helped me understand the recording landscape and how to capture HDR footage from games. In building my setup, I would like to be able to record HDR gameplay AND HDR camera footage to sort of future proof my videos as much as possible. I understand the processing times on YouTube can be really long, but I'm just starting out and don't need to post immediately when a new game drops.
That said, my question is, how in OBS do you set up to record or stream with both gameplay and camera / facecam footage to be in HDR? I have the settings properly applied to record gameplay in HDR, but am confused on how to also record HDR camera footage simultaneously. Is it only possible to record facecam footage separately (like through a webcam, DSLR, or phone source (like the new iPhones that support HDR recording)), or is it possible to capture HDR footage while using a DSLR or phone as a source in OBS while also recording HDR gameplay footage? Ideally, rather than recording the facecam / phone footage in HDR and saving it to the camera or phone's memory, I'd like to be able to record it into one OBS video. Thank you for your help!
