I see. I will consider Danner's other shoes. What is insulated options? Is it something like 3M's Thinsulate? I live in the north of Japan. In Japan, boots made overseas are generally considered better than boots made in Japan.

I see. Then I guess climbing shoes are overkill. I'll also consider Danner's Mountain Lite. The Blundstone's have side gores, so I'm worried about snow getting in them. I will be wearing thick wool slacks in the winter, so I think they would go well with rugged boots like the denner mountain lights, what do you think? Also, which do you think is better, socks for climbing or wool socks for boots? Also, what are your criteria for choosing?
