need suggestions for laptop
There's not much you can do. When gaming, laptops are meant to be plugged in, so the batteries aren't super big. Mine will last 2 hours at the most just writing a word doc in efficiency mode. There are much better options out there than this, I would just keep it in mind

If it will be your daily driver for class work I would make sure to read reviews on battery life. A lot of gaming laptops will go from 100-0 in just a couple hours which will make it difficult bouncing between classes (I made this mistake with an ROG Zephyrus)

Just to verify, you confirmed your laptop wasn't using the integrated graphics correct? It sounds like that should be the problem from your post
