It sounds like your laptop might be using the integrated GPU instead of the dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 for VALORANT. To improve performance and utilize your dedicated GPU, follow these steps:
1. Set GPU Priority:
- Open NVIDIA Control Panel.
- Go to "Manage 3D settings."
- Under the "Program Settings" tab, add
VALORANT
and set the preferred graphics processor to High-performance NVIDIA processor
.
2. Configure Power Settings:
- Ensure your laptop is set to High Performance mode.
- Go to Windows Settings > System > Power & sleep > Additional power settings and select High performance
.
3. Update Drivers:
- Ensure that your NVIDIA GPU drivers are up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the NVIDIA website.
4. Game Settings:
- Lower the in-game graphic settings to reduce the load on your GPU.
- Disable background applications that may consume CPU/GPU resources.
These steps should help you achieve better FPS in VALORANT. For more troubleshooting, visit the Riot Games support.
