reinstalling with a standard usb (no ventoy) and adding key afterwords worked like a charm

thanks Hikari. if anyone searches this in the future, the problem was with ventoy during the install. with CSM disabled, system would not allow bazzite to install through a ventoy USB as that was also considered insecure

if either of you are still keeping an eye on this, will i need to switch back to stable once 612 launches to avoid staying on the testing kernel? if so, is it just bazzite-rollback-helper rebase stable for the terminal command?
