Raspberri Pi issue?
Hi everyone. Long time since I have posted - my printer has been nice and reliable for quite some time. I came to an issue over the weekend and think the Pi may be bricked?
It started on Friday when I sent a print to the V-Core through RatOS and it uploaded but reported back that the upload failed. At this point, I was getting active temperature measurements etc.
I looked in RatOS and found that I had a heap of updates to do, so started uploading them. When I went to update Klipper, it failed and since then have not been able to communicate to the printer.
Given the issues and chatting with a friend who also has a V-Core, I updated RatOS on the Pi. This initially failed and assumed maybe my memory card failed so got a new one and installed the boot loader.
Now, I can't seem to even get wireless up and running on the Pi and cannot connect via ethernet connection from Pi to Laptop either.
Just wondering if the Pi may have been bricked?
On power up, the red light is on straight away, and the green light is off initially, then has four quick of/ons followed by a longer off period and then four quick off/ons again - I am guessing that is simply trying to read from the card and not indicating an error message?

Which image did you download?
First I tried RatOS 2.0.2, downloading 2023-06-09-RatOS-2.0.2-armbian-CB1.img.xz
but when that didn't work, I then tried the same with 2.1.0, downloading 2024-07-27-RatOS-2.1.0-RC2-armbian-CB1.img.xz
Used Balena Etcher to put the image on to the MicroSD card in each instance
Yeah, the CB1 image is for the CB1, not the raspberry pi...
Ok, ok. Oops. I’ll go back over it all when I get home. I thought that was the pi image….
Ah, managed to get the right image and loaded it up. At the moment though, I can only connect via ethernet. Wireless was up on the pi and gave the correct password - stupid quiestion, how to get back in tot he Pi to make sure I didn't mis-type the p/w?
On ethernet, I have now updated everything, but I have an error on Klipper
"Existing Command "TEST_RESONANCES" not found in RATOS Override
Anyone seen and corrected htis at all?
Not sure about your wifi questions - I don't really understand what you are asking
as for the klipper error - have you updated to the latest? And if so, how?
I seem to be able to connect to the Pi over ethernet, but not over wireless now for some reason.
I was updating everything else to the latest version. Klipper kept giving an error "TEST_RESONANCES" not found.
After updating everything else I started to setup in RatOS, selected the right printer and mainboard setup (Octopus V1.1) and it wanted to flash that, so followed that procedure and once I got to DFU Mode and hit the reset button, it starts to flash and then says DFU Mode not found. A little bit frustrated at the moment with it, so giving it a break for a little while before coming back tomorrow to go back over it
If it's the first time flashing the octopus, I believe you have to do so manually with the SD card
no, you should be able to do it via DFU
I was updating everything else to the latest versionif you are running ratos 2.1, you need to update in a specific order or you will mess things up right now
gotcha. Not sure where I picked that up then. And a LOT of people have this same-presenting issue, where DFU says "go for it" but then doesn't work
DFU is burned into the board, it should pretty much always work
