Cannot Connect to Moonraker (randomly, frequently, during prints or just sitting there)

Hey folks. RatOS will randomly drop a "cannot connect to moonraker" error, pretty regularly and without pattern it seems. It happnes both during printing and when there's nothing happening. I'll be connected to the machine, viewing my cameras or what have you, and then suddenly connection drops and it either can be refreshed and come back, or drops entirely untill I power cycle the printer. Some more specific symptoms: * "Cannot Connect to Moonraker" error spastically and frequently (multiple times in a minute) * can not SSH into the pi to run terminal commands or anything * cameras randomly drop in and out, sometimes requiring a full power cycle (not just a reboot) to come back online. this may be unrelated but wanted to mention * The printer continues printing if the interface is down, but i've gotta unplug it if the interface goes down * issue has persisted for months (since october/november ish) quite consistently I've found sonar for moonraker, which should keep the network up, but i'm: * not sure if the wifi connection is the problem and * can not install it to try, since my ssh password somehow got changed * https://github.com/mainsail-crew/sonar not sure what data is needed to try and troubleshoot. I'm considering reflashing to a new, bigger SD card anyways because the ssh password got changed somehow... but would like to avoid reflashing because I don't want to have to go through all the mods and tweaking again lol. I've added my configs and such here as well, and can get log files soon once this print is done and I can power cycle to get an interface again.

One additional note, it'll do this for a bit... not sure how it does that if it can't communicate with the pi, but it does ig. (I'm a mechanical guy, pretty green as far as software goes)

and the config files

Ive had a very similar issue. Machine keeps running, but can't connect to it. Spinning the physical machine around so the pi is more "pointed at" where the router is has mostly fixed it, but is awkward. Was looking into improving the built-in wifi antenna but it would involve removing components and soldering stuff in, which I don't feel is worth it. Wish I had a better answer, but you could see if pointing the machine around differently helps, then you'd have a better hint that it is the wifi connection.

You also mention you installed a bunch of mods... What did you install?

not really mods, per se. just tweaking and refinement, like addin in code for the filament sensor or setting up camera settings and max accelerations/IS and such good idea, do you think testing with an ethernet cable would be a good idea? might just eliminate the network issue alltogether, idk

Maybe! I haven't looked into it as it would be really awkward to run a cable out to where it is, even more than just spinning the machine around 90 degrees

that's definitely real. mine is pretty far away from the router, pretty far from ethernet access too lol. we'll see, i'll try it and report back
