mismatching suit makers
let’s say, hypothetically, i were to buy an orphaned armani black worsted wool suit jacket. would i get arrested for wearing them with black worsted prl trousers?

:xd: weeg brainworms hit hard i see
You’d have to try it, it might work, it might not honestly. Could be any number of a hundred things that can make this look good or dumb
what is a weeg
what is a jawn for that matter
The guy who posted the Armani suit pic yesterday
hmm. are there any ways to give orphaned suit jackets (adopt? resurrect?) new pants?
yes. i have not stopped thinking about it or looking
Weeg and meatwater the big suit goats
Did you see the meatwater suit fit that Ethan posted from his NYC escapades?
Brilliant
Anyway, i would recommend just looking for a non orphaned suit jacket. Especially if you want to actually go for an armani-esque look, getting pants that were made with that specific suit in mind will go a long way.
?
what about in general?
In general i would only try combining two orphaned suit parts in person
I guess if there was a label inside for the fabric and it came from a known maker (ie Holland and Sherry, Loro Piana), I suppose you could have pants made.
If it's black with no pattern/distinctive weave, go for it
just need to make sure the cuts work together
I mix and match my black pants/jackets all the time
nvm the lighting was bad in the photo apparently it’s navy
Matching fabrics is literally impossible on the internet imo. What looks passable in a phone pic compressed to be posted may be light years off in person. My advice is to simply not try to match and aggressively mismatch
Yeah should add the caveat that I just have a ton of black dress trousers already. If you're buying vintage Armani you should buy a non orphaned jacket
No point in trying to find a matching pant since you'll probably brick and spend the same amount of money or likely more
or i can just bribe this guy with lots of money to give me his suit smh
he won't give it up trust me
oh no i know
