Port-Forwarding Options Through CG-NAT?

Hi. I have been trying to setup a Minecraft Server (Minecraft port is default 25565) from a separate PC which I can connect to through my laptop but my friends who live elsewhere couldnt connect to the server? I attempted to use https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ to check if the ports were open but it showed all ports from my server PC as being closed. I thought it might be due to my ISP (TalkTalk) possibly using CG-NAT. My Router is a Eero Pro 6 (I have 2 - 1 spare) I have set its DNS to Cloudflare (1.1.1.1 - Primary, 1.0.0.1 - Secondary) By the way I am making sure to blur out stuff from MAC Addresses and IPs of my devices for my own security. If those details are required/would help in diagnosing this please say I checked on reddit and found someone else was having a similar issue and found this comment (https://www.reddit.com/r/HomeNetworking/comments/vrznf2/comment/ieygcyo/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) on that post that noted I also checked around and found that it is possible to setup Port-Fowarding through a VPN however I'm not sure if CG-NAT would block Forwarding through a VPN and if so which VPN Providers to use? I'm considering either: - ProtonVPN - Previously used them and pretty good experience or - PureVPN - Got a full article on how to "bypass" CG-NAT restrictions (somehow still got kinda lost on it though...) - https://www.purevpn.com/blog/cgnat-port-forwarding/#Steps_to_Setup_Port_Forwarding_bypass_CGNAT Also whilst looking for options I stumbled across PlayIt.gg (anyone here got previous experience with it? is it good, reliable, etc... for modded servers/just in general?) Honestly this is my first time Port-Forwarding a server so I've probably made a mistake somewhere tbh...
Open Port Check Tool - Test Port Forwarding on Your Router
Port checker is a utility used to identify your external IP address and detect open ports on your connection. This tool is useful for finding out if your port forwarding is setup correctly or if your server applications are being blocked by a firewall.

β€œAll ports from my server PC as closed” is wrong External tools cannot see your LAN It just means your router does not permit inbound traffic for them Ie cgnat playit is a common solution Should work fine for your issue

how similar performance would playit be compared to running a port-forward through a VPN (or will it still be blocked by my router through a VPN)?

the performance aint that much worse, playit.gg has 10gb/s servers if i recall

Probably not noticeable if you are below 15 players tbh

be aware VPN providers typically won't give you the same port over and over So you'd either need to update your SRV record, or provide players the new ip:port each time the VPN restarts

btw just tried forwarding it through Ngrok (which Im probably not going to use now I know the free plan apparently has a bandwidth limit) and even that didnt work.... i allowed all Java versions and the Ngrok exe through Windows Firewall settings which made no difference...

@Bean playit.gg if your just having 20 players shouldnt be noticeble, if you got it wired into your router you can probabaly get away with 50 np.
