a suit????
im not going
Yeah, prolly some kind of suit. More because I rarely get to wear my suits in my everyday life and I enjoy the occasion
Also I would prolly email them and ask them what they mean by that
Dresscode phrases have largely lost all meaning imo
CDB’s going to a wedding huh
And needs advice?
Slim fit khakis blue gingham shirt + these bad boys
I think contextually this is different depending on where you are and whos inviting you
who's writing the invite
But i would usually assume it just means make your pants not jeans and make sure your shirt buttons go all the way down the shirt
For most people suit is firmly in formal territory
i'm pretty sure i'd just wear separates and loafers and shirt with tie; depending on how stuffy it is will dictate what kind of jacket/tie/loafers get worn
Challenge mode is when the invite says semi-formal + <insert theme>. "Semi-formal beach", "semi-formal western", etc
ez
beach: linen suit with sandals
western: western suit with wrangler snap and bolo tie
semi-formal swimwear
Sportcoat/blazer and trouser, tie, oxford, loafers or chukkas
Tie in a stripe or a foulard
Suede chukka boots or loafers , denim or linen pants, a two button blazer, solid color shirt, no tie , Stetson presindante 100x. The overall fit is true to body but I can size a bit up. Gold accented jewelry in a tucked micro Cuban, a gold plated watch, bracelets and a handkerchief
Tux :gigachad:
Semi formal backyard BBQ
Cut my formal outfit in half vertically
It's semi formal not hemi formal
Default for me would probably be tweed jacket, chinos, ocbd, tie, penny loafers
Could dress it up a bit by switching to oxfords, pinpoint shirt, and wool dress pants
DID I HEAR HEMI
HELL YEAH BROTHER
i’m a massive fucking nerd but i was thinking white dress shirt, those brown cord pants i just got a while ago, some suspenders… whatever you’d call my tommys
if i had to use a tie i’d probably do a neckerchief
