what shader? is it the latest version?
photon shader
from modrinth
latest version?
but I've seen the github version might be more up to date
the modrinth version should work fine
what DH version?
and have you tested with just DH, iris and dependencies?
oh it was version 1.0a
is 1.0 better?
Depends, 1.0a can mean either:
- Alpha (1.0 is newer)
- Patch „A” (newer with some bugfix)
I'll test now with just DH and Iris
ok so I could not replicate the error with just DH and Iris. this might be mod incompatibility I'll try to pinpoint
alright
I was wrong. I can replicate it. With just the following mods:
- sodium-fabric-0.6.0-beta.2+mc1.21.1.jar
- iris-fabric-1.8.0-beta.4+mc1.21.1.jar
- DistantHorizons-2.2.1-a-1.21.1-neo-fabric.jar
- authme-8.0.0+1.21.jar
The steps to replicate:
1. Launch Minecraft
2. Disable DH rendering and shaderpacks
3. Relaunch Minecraft
4. Join a server/start a world
5. Inside the world enable DH, then enable shaders
6. Get the error message
Minecraft version: 1.21
Fabric loader: 0.16.5-1.21
One way to work around this I found was, to repeatedly disable/enable DH and/or shaders.
Or a better way is to enable both despite the error message then relaunch the game and both will load fine.
Also it seems like a different set of variables are undefined each time.
Have you tried a different compatible shader?
