Fall Inspo - Topic of the day 9/8/24
Whether your Brat Summer lasted four years or four minutes, fall is fast approaching. What style, look, or feeling are you trying to emulate this fall? Will this fall be any different from the ones past? What images would best represent your fashion goals this fall?

idk what exactly about it, but i really love this pic from nanamica's fw24 collection
The only thing at the top of my head is oversized cardigans and jackets
I havent thought too hard about fall fits yet, so this was just a scroll thought my inspo saved to my phone and picking whats speaking to me this morning
Im thinking its gonna be a pretty subdued fall/winter. I havent been really drawn to loud patterns/colors/70s inspo lately. Probably just gonna continue in the lane of the armani lemaire inspired stuff i was wearing before it got hot and miserable out.
Right now only got ALD for inspo, need to spend some time and collect some more
so i expect greatness in the thread
I should refresh my inspo but until then
Maybe i should get a fall version of my linen sfc suit…
I do think it’s a little funny how much suiting/tailoring/ivy shit is in my inspo vs what own
But that’s probably more a function of the fact that I rot here instead of seeking out more inspo elsewhere
hell yeah
I have a pretty clear vision of what I want for f/w but I also wanna travel a lot more next year so we'll see where the budget lands lmfao
#2, incredible
Ready to go back to the same old same old really. I’m at a point where I’m pretty happy with what I’m doing fashion wise and I’m experimenting with the little things now. No big „style changes“, just trying to make my bullshit slightly more fun.
Not yet synthesized, but some inspiration to balance an understated handsomeness plus whimsical novelty
I enjoy seeing the convergence & divergence between our styles in this inspo. Some good stuff here
Im not sure what I will do this F/W. I will certainly stick to my "urban/euro cowboy" lane, but im looking forward to my sport coats and will propably end up leaning more into the whole "70s does westernwear" thing.
In general I feel like my fits currently lack visual interest and that I have too many clothes in solid, dark colours, so I want to add some louder patterns and stuff on the yellow-red spectrum into the mix I guess..
part of my inspiration is redoing some of my fits from earlier this year now that i have better stuff/stronger sense of intention
Absolutely, seeing other ppl that do something similar to oneself is always really enriching, because on the one hand you get to see a lot of cool stuff thats super inspiring, but on the other hand it also helps you better understand what parts of an aesthetic you are drawn to and which ones you are not, if you know what I mean?
Anyway, im so looking forward to all of your fall fits
personally im starting to eye my cinnamon corduroy suit. This week is supposed to have some chilly days (16 degrees C) so maybe I get to bust that out
Absolutely, always great to see people style similar items in different ways to how you would and get ideas from that
in terms of imagery and vibes it's a mixed bag but there's a definite tug of war between late 60s/early 70s (ivy, westernwear infleunces) and 90s (big tailoring, especially with aspects of streetwear mixed in)
(also working on something related to what i'm on for fall)
Autumn means hoodies are back, knitwear is back, jackets are back, WE are so back.
My inspo for this fall/winter
And of course the casual vibe
Did you know this shot was taken at the funeral for his mentor, Dior? What a place to pull off a fit pic!
Absolutely, funniest fit pic of all time
“Christian would have wanted me to get a fit off”
Let's make a commitment right now that whoever dies first, the other one gets an amazing shot at his service!
I'd like to think it's an open casket funeral as well
Aye aye capn
Get the body of the deceased in the selfie
puma will be with the roaches post-apocalypse
if puma dies i'll wear the j.crew meme suit to his funeral, it's what he would want
Imagine eventually this sub is just him standing in graveyards laughing maniacally, looking incredible.
Me and Keith Richards
Fun story- I made a custom suit for a very old man last year- he said to me before we began the process “just so you know, I plan on wearing this suit to all events for the next 3 or 4 years, then I plan to be buried in it. So don’t mess up!”
He was very pleased with the results thankfully lol
That is a bit of pressure!
honestly kinda cool to hit a point of contentment in your life/clothes to make that kind of choice
but I guess that musing will be saved for "end of life inspo"
I'm not a big fan of colourful interior linings on suits, but if I was to make a suit to be buried in, I think I'd go for like a crazy paisley lining or something. Sort of like taking a secret to my grave.
When will we hit that topic of the day🤣🤣🤣
The only time I’d respect an insane lining choice tbh
One of my favorite fit pics of all time
I don’t have any specific inspo, but for me personally, F/W always means leather, denim, and flannel for casual stuff, and dark colored wool suiting for more formal. Double denim is a constant year round, but it def makes itself more known for me during the fall lol
Also no white after Labor Day is a dumb rule
You guys cannot be dropping this much heat in one thread
