Can not update MCU 'mcu' error after updating
This is a new Vcore4 build. I've put RatOS 2.1 on the SD card in the raspberry pi, and gone through the initial configuration. The MCU and toolboard flash correctly and everything looks good. When I open Mainsail, there were a couple orange errors. I unfortunately did not document these but they had to do with a T0 range error. I browsed to the machine tab and update RatOS, then did a full update. After the update I get the MCU update error in the title. If I browse back to the configurator, it now says that the Octopus 1.1 446 is detected but is unresponsive.

how are you powerering the Octopus and the Pi currently? What jumpers are installed on the MCU and what else is plugged into the MCU and Pi?
Right now the pi is powered by the octopus as per the instructions. no boot or power jumper installed.
Stupid question, did you try a full power cycle?
I don't think I purposefully did a power cycle after seeing this error. let me go try that...
I've gone through this twice now - with a fresh install on the pi each time
Ah, I have the Pi on it's own PSU. Then I used a separate USB power supply for my 446 when I was doing the flashing.
This is most likely just wasting time. The issue is with the board, not your OS.
Let me go check some things real quick
@LogieBears do you have anything connected to your board besides power and usb?
@LogieBears seems like i've introduced a bug that could cause the "unresponsive" error. Hang tight.
Okay so after a power cycle I have the t0 error.
Now if I go to the configurator it still says unresponsive, and then if I browse back to mainsail it has the mcu error
Right now everyting is connected.
I did initially flash the board with nothing connected. I did not update through the machine tab until everything was assembled and connected.
Connected your thermistor wrong (or not at all) 🙂
Yeah you can ignore that (currently fixing that error message)
Let me reconnect that correctly...
Fix for the version check step is live in 5 minutes. (Update ratos-configurator through mainsail)
I'm glad my foolishness could accidentally help find a bug. Fixing the wiring fixed my problem...
Didn't this start out as the version was truncated?
Haha, i should've known not to commit things blindly no matter how many times i tested it in other ways 😂
Yes, that's fixed now
It was the fix for that, that broke it
Because of an unnecessary $ in my regex
$ doesn't do what you think it does without multiline mode.. 😂
Shhhh I will not tell him then that there was nothing wrong with his initially it was a bug LOL
