the only reason i’d wear a belt is if i needed one for style reasons or if something suddenly decides it doesn’t want to fit anymore (or i wanted to get something too wide for me at a thrift)

My meermin dress belt is 1.375 in and my Narragansett belt is 1.5 in
I want a skinnier dress belt I think and there was a cool 1" sort of western belt I saw at a local cobbler
Variety is the spice of life, 0.75in up to 1.5in belts for me
Three, a slightly dressy brown belt, a rugged ancient dickies roughout belt and a skinny OL black western belt

I picked up this Meermin belt in "rust" suede earlier this summer. It quickly became my most-worn one. Looks great with white and ecru pants.

I bought a vintage silver belt buckle and had it set onto a belt. I'm not sure I'd recommend that route to everyone looking for a western belt but it's an option to consider and if you want silver specifically it might end up cheaper.
I like slide belts since they are easy to adjust and replace once the strap wears out.

not providing an explanation
right now i just have two popov belts but they're very chunky and rugged, i wanna cop some nicer thinner belts next
I got a lot of belts I like, but the one I’m wearing today is coolest to me/has the most sentimental value. 1980 Pendleton rodeo buckle from my grandpa, vintage Navajo belt I found antiquing in high school.
I like belts with small buckles because they are much easier on my hardware than large buckles. Cotton belts preferably but i have a leather one. The belt is kinda ornamental because my pants fit tightly that I don’t have to wear it but I still do because it’s what I’m supposed to do
insane belt
thank you. I wore it like every day for a year in high school so I got sick of it for a while, but it’s prolly one of the coolest things I own. Also the only thing that I’ve owned that long
legit one of the coolest belts ive ever seen
aww shucks
I got myself a vintage silver belt buckle off of ebay and ordered a buckle-less belt in my size to fit that one. Looking forward to assemble that today to have another nice belt.
I currently have 3 belts I actively use: A really plain dark brown 3,5cm belt (that I want to replace eventually) , a pseudo braided 2,5cm brown belt that i mounted a spare set of western belt buckles onto and a very plain brown one in 3cm.
I currently feel like a lot of my fits, especially in summer, are held back by a lack of accessories, so improving that is on my fashion agenda. Vintage belt buckle was step one.
I am looking to get a black skinny belt, bc some of my suit pants only admit 1' belts. I have another nice vintage buckle im eyeing for that. And then I want to get a wide belt in brown (either 3,5 or 4cm) that is more visually interesting than my current one. Either some kind of ranger Belt or one of these nice studded ones with a fun pattern that speaks to me..
Topic of the day influenced me into buying 2 belts yesterday :hawyee:
Which ones did you get?
I got 1-off black/brown reversible one for suiting purposes, plus 1 vintage black western one with some cool braiding detail!
Uhh! Nice braiding!
Ty! Wish it had a metal tip at the end as well, but never mind
I always liked the Bombay from Allen Edmonds, now discontinued. I had a black one that unfortunately is lost. I still have a walnut one.
