Belt tension - starting point - Vcore 3.0 , with updated toolhead
What is a good starting tension for the belts ?
Like a bass guitar sting, or looser?
First time round I get squeaky sounds from the motor cages, and a unwillingness to move..

Just taut enough to not slip
looser is better than too tight
really? I've not found that to be the case, at least on my VC500. A tad loose, leaves surface artifacts. My peaks are at around 68 hz. most set them a tad looser, around 54-64hz
you can always go tighter if needed, but to start off looser is better. You won't risk destroying bearings
