Is there any way to make Openbrush pieces that use animated brushes/shaders work in Unreal Engine, or do they only work in Unity? I haven't tried Unreal yet, was just curious!
I think it's possible in theory - it's just that nobody with any experience of Unreal shaders has stepped up to help make it happen yet.
That's kind of what I figured. I haven't even used Unreal much, was just curious...think I'll stick with Unity!! π

Can you please tell me how I can find out the default value of these parameters? Right now I have an empty Open Brush.cfg. What I see on this user-guide-config site under βSample contents of an Open Brush.cfg with various fields filled inβ - are these default values or already changed?
Yeah. Bit of an oversight. Currently you'd have to check the source code. Which values were you specifically interested in - I might be able to tell you.
I am interested in the default "FOV" for screenshots and videos and "CameraSmoothing". I'm also interested in why the "FOV" is duplicated in the "Video" and "Flags" section. Which parameter will be in priority?
Ah ha! I think these shows the defaults: https://discord.com/channels/783806589991780412/1214598406643654706/1214598411542859869
I've never noticed fov was duplicated before. Let me check why.
Ok, tnx ^^ The FOV is duplicated in two sections: Flags and Video, you can also see this in the config you sent. The guide on the site says that FOV in the Flags section "determines the field of view (FOV) for the camera used during image or video capture". But what is FOV in the Video section for?
Wait guys, I think I misspoke, that's not the setting I need π I need a setting that affects the focal length to reduce background blur. FOV is what affects the angle of view π
It sounds like you're asking about depth of field, not focal length per se.
I think the setting you want is
PostEffectsOnCapture
In a real world camera - that setting would be the aperture. But in our case - we're a long way off simulating real optics so depth of field is just a fake vfx that is applied afterwards.
One day we'll have real-time physically correct path tracing in Open Brush!
Yes, that's what I was looking for, thank you! It's a pity that you can't decrease the value of this parameter, but only switch it off completely... But anyway I'm glad I finally solved this problem π
it's not an area of code that I'm particularly familiar with, but I wonder if it could be made adjustable
Hi, i am starting and would like to know some things, docs did not help.
1. How to delete guides?
2. How to resize guides with snap to grid?
3. Why is Layers UI tab snapping to angle & grid?
