have just replaced my revo with a Rapido Plus Hotend 2 UHF, using a ebb 42 toolboard, have got the jumper in place and getting the error. if i disconnect the wire, i get the error but with out the temp reading, if i remove the jumper the - figure is higher (65707422.564) i'm using ratos 2.1 and have selected all the correct settings

Either you did not chose the proper thermistor (probably PT1000) or the proper temperature setting, loose wire or bad thermistor. Mine will do that sometimes when I don't leave enough slack when bundling wires together.

wiring is fine as there is an obvious difference when its connected and not connected. thermoster is cortrect and so is resistor and pin [extruder] max_extrude_only_distance: 200 nozzle_diameter: 0.4 heater_pin: toolboard_t0:PB13 sensor_type: PT1000 pullup_resistor: 2200 sensor_pin: toolboard_t0:PA3 min_extrude_temp: 170 min_temp: 0 max_temp: 350 pressure_advance: 0.03

Is it really Rapido Plus (i.e. with PT1000), not Rapido "nonPlus" (i.e. with Semitec 104NT-4-R025H42G)?

Nice pictures, what about hotend you really own? (the one with PT1000 should have blue wires with label "PT1000")

That good enough for you?

perfect 🙂 (you wouldn't be first who got different model than ordered (especially on Amazon or Aliexpress), hence the question) You don't have by any chance multimeter, do you?

I D i do

can you measure resistance od PT1000 at the connector which is directly for EBB? (it should have resistance about 1100ohm at room temperature)
James
JamesOP•5mo ago
yeah i'll need to find it

and if you measure anything out of range about 1040 - 1160 ohms (still at room temperature, this range is for temperatures between 10 - 40 °C), do the same at the (original) connector directly on blue wires Just to be sure, in case it isn't obvious: The connector has to be disconnected from EBB for proper measurement (we don't want to measure parallel resistances and/or voltage from EBB)

so i think the thermostate is dead not getting any resistance

better to double check, especially if you have thick test leads on multimeter and it's hard to reach pins on JST-XH cable connector. But there was a suspicion, so... also the adapter cable is probably good to check (you have to have one since original connector desn't fit on EBB). But if you have inifinite resistance even on blue wires, then it's likely the RTD is really bad.

Just not getting any reading, I've ordered a replacement so fingers crossed it was was just a broken thermistor New thermistor fixed it, thank you
