How to prevent hollow chunks from appearing
These hollow LOD chunks appear very frequently when going far away. Only fix seems to be getting closer and load these as normal chunks

This is overdraw prevention, vanilla chunks can't keep up with your fast movement
normally you can tune it in DH settings, but shaders override it, so you would need to look in shader settings
The best fix is to make vanilla chunks load faster
- decrease vanilla RD
- install more performance mods, e.g. C2ME (this mod will hurt LOD loading speed, but will improve vanilla loading, so it can prevent the overdraw prevention from creating holes)
this does not look like a overdraw issue
his vanilla render distance ends far from where the holes begin
they could be appearing because you need to set cpu load higher
Not that I look closer you might be right
It this bar on top from chunky?
thats a good observation
yea
/chunky
Chunky is known to cause LODs to turn into swiss cheese and bloat up world size, as can be seen in the attached screenshot.
We recommend you enable "Distant Generation" in Distant Horizons' settings and wait.
If you actually want to pre-generate vanilla chunks along with LOD data, disable Distant Horizons, wait for chunky to finish, then re-enable Distant Horizons.
try waiting until it loads, or rejoin
Nah the hollow chunks still appear even without chunky
Chunky just happened to be active when I took the screenshot
