Thoughts on Levi's Jeans?

I recently ordered 2 pairs of jeans from Levi's, the first one is 501'93 midnight blue made up of 100% cotton and manufactured in Egypt ( i love the colour and i think made in Egypt is better than made in china or Bangladesh but the problem is that it's a size up and my size ain't available, if the quality worth it then i can get it tailored and wear it with a belt, I've also just came to know that Levi's has tailor shop which offers free services but I'm not sure) The second pair is 501 original but from the comments, people are saying that it's shrink to fit? That's the reason i ordered it but I'm not sure about the colour, The first one is very easy to pair with anything but the second one? I'm not sure. What should i do? Shall i return them both and go for another brand? Like Uniqlo, Lee, Wrangler or Pepe jeans? Maybe Celio? Finding 100% cotton jeans in a desired design and size is difficult that's why I'm thinking of settling with 98-99% cotton, I'm happy as long as they easily last for 5-8 years without too much wear and tear as well as colour fade. Regarding comfort, I'm not sure, these stretchy jeans or dobby cotton jeans are very comfortable but i do think that raw denim gives a unique denim look. Please help me out! I can't try them in the store because of size availability and on top of that they sell most of the items at mrp or the offers would be like; buy 2-3 jeans at MRP then get a discount.

Man I'm keeping the first one, today i received the second one and I'm disappointed because they sent me the wrong one and it's a regular 501. Not only that, the quality difference is night and day! I thought i received a fake product but everything looks similar ( tag, buttons etc) it's just the denim quality and stitching is off but the first one was made in Egypt and this one was made in Vietnam.

This is the best i can do considering the lighting. 1) It's a slim fit chino ( i ordered a relaxed fit but received a slim fit, i think i should keep it since the fit is good and it shouldn't shrink considering it's a 99% cotton?) 2) It's a 501'93 midnight blue jeans 3) Well it was supposed to be a 501 original shrink to fit but i received the wrong one and i don't like the colour. Fit is decent but perhaps 511 might fit better? But if it's slimmer on the thighs then I'll prefer 501 and get it tailored if needed.

Btw that chino is a 511 slim fit from Levi's so perhaps the jeans should be similar?

Unfortunately you have stumbled upon a fairly big and common problem with high volume brands which is that there can be high variability both within and across product lines. Levi’s also has various lines (Levi’s, Levi’s premium, Levi’s made and crafted, Levi’s vintage clothing) which could all have 501s with different cuts, fabrics and construction quality.

It's incredibly hard to tell what works best without a full length shot (obscure your face if you want to).

I think you should just get what looks good to you and the differences are gonna fade (ha ha) as time goes on and you break them all in

If they accept my return request then I'll return the blue one and get one of these ( first one from image 2 but i always find it difficult to pair light wash denim, second option is last one from image 1)

I don't care about 100% cotton or branding anymore, as long as the brand is decent and the material is good, I'm good to go.

100% cotton will probably end up the most durable in most circumstances

True but i don't think that 98-99% would be that bad? It's really difficult to find 100% cotton jeans, I'd have to make too many comprises, like colour, fitting, size... Zara has some but i don't think it's worth the price, i just can't trust them for the long term use. And btw, the midnight jeans that i wore is made up from 100% cotton.

probably not, go for it on 1% I enjoyed the comfort of ~92% but they degraded far faster than my other jeans (though I do put A LOT of wear on my jeans)

98-99% is a sweet spot.
