What to pair with a green flannel blazer for a wedding

Hello, I would like to wear this to a wedding in August. Does anyone have any recommendations for shirt, pant and shoe colors or styles? Thanks.

Hmm...that is a tricky color and I don't know how accurate the photo is. I would start with khaki chinos, white shirt, and a plain tie that's knit or wool or linen.

Holy fucking shit that's a beautiful sport coat I'm a bit ivy biased so my take would be a light blue ocbd, some tan/brown cords, a nice tie, and loafers (beefroll pennies would complete the ivy look)

I was thinking cords too, and couldn't decide if it would be too much. But definitely worth trying. I think the trick is going to be finding the right colors that complement the jacket Definitely loafers

Yeah lol, the jacket for me seems too "out there" that the only way to rock it is to go full blast

Khaki would be great, you could also pair this with navy pants pretty safely

Gonna give the light blue OCBD a shot. @ayoqna Thanks for that suggestion. For the pants, I was even thinking over some dark rinse jeans. Not sure if that would fly? I like the idea of a knit tie @jfarrell468

Yeah, I love blazer+jeans. Definitely worth trying. Maybe not for a wedding tho Tie Bar has affordable knit ties, if you can't find something at a thrift store.

Is the fly pun intended? I think the dark rinse jeans will look nice tho it needs to be a specific type of jean. Something with a higher rise with fit more nicely to the vibes of the coat. Not really sure about wedding dress etiquette tho, it may just be me but as long as you're wearing a smart jacket, you're good to go.

When in doubt, you can always ask the wedding hosts if jeans are acceptable
