Usb devices being reset during print

During prints I'm losing usb connection to my tool board. Lost communication with MCU 'toolboard_t0' Running dmesg -T shows all the devices being reset? I've tried a new usb c cable to the toolboard. I've tried a new powered usb hub. I've slightly up'd the 5v voltage on the psu to approx 5.5v. I've added ferrite cores to usb cables. I've replaced the usb c cable going to the octopus. I've DFU'd the toolboard and reflashed it. All psu's have a common ground.

Are you sure it isn't a loose connection to the USB or a bad solder connection that is pulling loose sometimes?

Pretty sure its not The only things i can think left to try is... Run a new 24v connection direct to the toolboard from the psu. Direct connect the usb to the pi. (Currently 24v comes out from my printer up to a sort of busbar which has a few things connected there. A small 24v to 12v converter, my water pump, the toolboard, 3x 12v fans on the 12v converter, 12v water temp display. And originally my 24v led strip. I say originally because, when the hotend was on it would cause some dimming/flickering on the led's. I fixed this by getting a 24v constant current psu just for the leds and thats be working perfectly. I also feel like the more the printers used the worse it seems to get. Leading me to think maybe a power issue. The hotend I'm using is vz goliath which i think is 100w which would draw over 4a at 24v Ok, i've now got the 24v, 0v from the toolboard connected directly to the 24v psu and it still happens after about 5 minutes of printing

Yeah its showing the toolboard being disconnected and reconnected as a new device id. pulling on the power cable and usb c cable into the toolboard dont throw any errors and the other ends are directly connected to both the pi and psu. I don't understand why they are disconnecting unless theres issue elsewhere but where do you look 🤷🏼‍♂️ Trying something now that i have a small hope for. Will report back

Cheaper hubs can do that. Or bad usb cables

Managed to print orca's flow calibration, then tolerance test, followed by a small 20 minute print 35g of plastic without issue all back to back. Dmesg isn't showing any disconnects. Will test more but so far its looking good. The problem was.... Faulty/loose connectors on my pi for some reason. It's the same pi ive been using for over a year but every usb in all 4 ports wobble and weirdly the ethernet don't click into the connector, it just sits loose. I remembered I had an old pi 3 and it wasn't until i plugged the usb's into that one i noticed the difference, and the ethernet clicked in too! I'll follow up with how things hold up when i have more time to test but so far its been working. Everythings been fine now, done over 20 prints no issue. Hope this helps others
