MUMBAI SERVER IPs
:val_HelloBro:
^ thats AWS folks, your ISP have better path via AWS ( Amazon network) then via Riot Direct so its bypassing our network. We need your ISP name and location, example Airtel in Delhi playing on Mumbai servers and I can check whats going on with our route towards your ISP
Mine’s from Hyderabad for the record
Fibertel in buenos aires on Santiago?
it might just be the wifi being bad tho
^ get a ethernet cable and try again so we know for sure
yeah i use ethernet
😢
from last few days Mumbai server are experiencing high ping fluctuations .
should i send trace route ?
meghbela broadband in kolkata
ISP: AS55836 Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited

as far as i have tested in my laptopdo you use ethernet?
btw my ping has been really stable at 30-35 today
nope its mobile hotspot
BSNL in Sikkim playing on Mumbai server.
Getting high constant packet loss on the Mumbai server but when I switch to the Singapore server I don't get any packet loss.
I am in touch with your ISP, meanwhile can you DM send me your traceroute towards 151.106.246.1 alongside with your public IP please
@Kenji-San any update on my ISP (ACT) ?
I have been on 40-50 ping on the past 3 weeks with increased ping spikes, it’s just saddening at this point to play 😢
cant see much ploss on this, but I reached out to BSNL with a plan to improve what we already have, but you might want to raise it with them if you are seeing some big packet loss, you can also send me a DM with your public IP to check if the routing is correct🤞
@Zen._. ok boss, so what is currently happening with your traffic is this... you play your game and data comes via your pc towards your internet providers equipment, they than connect to our network in Chennai and Delhi, ideally they will have a connection in Mumbai where the servers are located right? but at the moment we dont have that so data flows from your city to Chennai where it enters our network we than carry it to Mumbai, and then the trip repeats but reversed from us. At the moment there is not much we can do. I asked them if they are willing to participate in getting a direct connection in Mumbai towards our servers, this will then bypass the 650km trip towards Chennai and it will go strait west towards Mumbai and every player on ACT connecting should get a shorter and less latency induced path, also it might be much cleaner in terms of packet loss. hope that make sense and why is it not an easy fix as it might look like in some other cases that we have here
^ this is only for ACT_Fibernet people
Thank you I am TERRIBLY SORRY for not understanding the gravity of this issue 🥲. Now I understand why it’s so complicated. Kudos to you again for working hard 🫡🫡
Sorry if I’ve been annoying
I was just frustrated, hope you understand 🥲🥲
Dont worry @Zen._. we will continue to work with ACT to improve our connection in India
U are the best
Does riot have to contact all these isp's to ensure stable ping
Must be a pain
Hey... Ive been having similar issue.
Earlier I used to get 11ms, but a week ago since ive upgraded plan (Maybe ISP also changed its server) its bumped upto 22.
ISP: KDN/ Pixel Connect
Location: Vadodara, Gujarat, India.
I'll talk today with the network engg, and give them mumbai server's IP, in hope that he'll improve some routing 🥲
Where do I email them?
Just register a complaint through their self-care hting or what?
#Packet loss issue on a stable internet. @Kenji-San My issue at times.

Most of them connects to what is called internet exchanges where we are present, these are scattered across the globe, like a datacenters, they bring their physical links there and we exchange traffic. That is the easiest way to connect to Riot Direct. Some just don't care as for them is to provide internet service to their customers, that is their main source of business, their responsibility drops there and you cant blame them. But most of the ISP are cooperative and helpful if we approach them for better routing solutions towards our servers
can you DM me your public IP and traceroute please when you get a chance, let me know if you need help how to obtain those
@Zen._. yo! we made some manual adjustments while we wait for ACT to get us a link in Mumbai, I see downtrends of the latency, check it out and let us know if that looks better 🤞
Whabdhebsnanehssk really 😭😭😭 lemme hop on real quick
I definitely see an improvement 😭😭😭😭
I currently have 22ms of ping
Thank you 🙏
Can’t thank you enough @Kenji-San @Jimz
nice! thanks for checking @Zen._. We should have more permanent solution in short future with ACT 👍
You guys are the best ❤️❤️❤️
@Kenji-San playing on 16 ping omgggg 😭😭😭😭
what about mine?
tbf ping hasn't spiked lately, so idk if my issue is alr fixed lol
@OOO AAA EEE Meghbela ISP routing looks to be fine from our perspective, so if you are having issues with ping I would recommend contacting them so they can check it out
If you don’t mind, may I know how you fixed it and what ACT has to do from their end to improve the situation further? I was just curious 🧐
I seem to have very minimal packet loss and currently averaging around 20 ping today after the fix, thanks again 🙏
We have restricted traffic in Chennai towards Riot(from part of the ACT players), until we have a good link in Mumbai, so your internet service provider now finds a new way towards our servers in Mumbai and its not via Chennai, that saves the 650km route around I mentioned earlier
Other one worked, was gonna cc a copy to this mail as well.
maybe cause its older one
same here on frankfurt server plays with 60 and jumps to 150 than goes back to 60 and jumps back to 120 over and over again for the rest of the match for more than a week already
