EBB42 cooling fan has 4 pins but the EBB only has 2 pin slots

Any suggestions? I see two slots for fans on the ebb and both are two pins. I don't see many 4028 axial fans with two pins. Could I somehow convert the l2c slot which is 4 pins?

Many, incuding me, run a 4 wire to the mainboard.

Follow the 4028 guide, it's the exact same on your toolboard. PWM wire goes to negative fan terminal on the toolboard. Get +12V from your mainboard, and connect gnd to any gnd pin on the toolboard.

what about the fourth wire?

The tachometer pin is rarely useful for a part cooling fan, but if you want to you can hook it up to any spare GPIO and configure it yourself.

I panicked and ran all four wires to my mainboard for now but I will keep your way in mind if I want to reduce the wires. Thank you. Now I just need to figure out how to wire an ssr to a manta m8p. The ratos documentation doesnt have one installed but I hear thats wrong.

It's an intentional omission Basically you put the SSR in line. M8P bed output goes into the DC side. AC side comes with a bunch of danger stickers 😄

Check out the pinned message in #general-electronics . If you don't understand after reading it, get a professional to do it

You seem to write that in a bunch of threads and nobody finds it helpful. I don't need a professional to install this I am quite capable. What isn't needed is the company posting a document that is wrong. This isn't a one off product and shouldn't be addressed as one. This printer is two years old now and should be pretty ironed out. This for sure should be covered properly especiaslly if the company wants to sell more of them. The voron guys dont seem to have this issue. that link is one giant discussion and hard to search my configuration. Plenty of octopus users but not m8p v1.1 for ssr wiring.

You know you are complaining on a community discord right? I don't work for ratrig. Also your comparison about voron is flawed as voron isn't a company selling a product and therefore isn't liable in the event you injure yourself https://discord.com/channels/582187371529764864/816478223361245204/991036898468311060 All SSR setups are the same, a SSR is just a switch for the AC hot line

diagram to diagram the voron one is complete? Its my final step. Can we all agree the ratrig diagram is lacking an ssr? Im jusat thrown off by it and came for verification.

I am not an electrician, and as always be careful with advice you get from the Internet. I would not connect the SSR to the PSU like in their diagram, but otherwise it looks ok. Instead I used a distribution block for splitting the incoming connections to the various components

Awe Mr. Hypycrite is not an electrician! Haha just breaking your balls. I understand the severity of this so im here making sure I get it right.
