Do you remember the first fit (or oldest) in MFA that caught your eye? Made you interested in fashion? Why? Do you still like it now?

Does this have to be about a poster, or could it just be a piece of inspo?
Whatever you feel

Tigre's wardrobe inventory post is the reason I'm here lmao https://imgur.com/a/LSlt5
Is that walkers?
Nah he hasn't been active for years
That’s crazy he has like 7 gray shirts and wears j crew in rotation with margiela

This image had a chokehold on me, before I was lost and this gave me some central tenets to act on with my style
oh yeah! jortslife
same here. this was a picture of my wardrobe circa 8-9 years ago. i think its obvious where i got my color palette from lmao
My first style loves were all tumblr. I didn’t have the time to go back to 2012 but I think 2016 (right around when I started looking at mfa) was when started caring about capital f fashion
I really loved loved loved like Wings + Horns style minimalism. I think you can see the desire for androgyny there although I wouldn’t have been able to articulate that. These 3 fits were heavy in the zoodboards back in the day
some of my earliest inspo but not mfa lol🫣
This fit from Snow Peaks FW '15 collection (see: ThisIsHirokisAmerica's Fleece Album https://imgur.com/a/bjajILD) was the first time that I really thought about fashion as a form of self-expression rather than just as something you did to look "good" or that clothes were more than body covers.
I had that same second stage I feel like. Like oh clothes can be more than looking cool n handsome!
What movie is that @carrion (they/them)
im like 90% it's from a yohji 2011-2013 runway show lol
Oh I’m just a pos of nice

Much obliged 😤
no worries!
this takes me back to being in my normie ass fits and he would pull up to hangs in visvim boots and a margiela jacket (we had alot of mutual friends in college and hung out alot)
Went back into the inspo folder for these, very MFAcore but that’s when/where I started to get into clothing. The Common Projects hype had me in a chokehold 😬😬
Those legs
Seeing Aitor Throup in fashion forums was a revelation on how neat clothing can be
Hate to say it but it was the tailored bulletproof suits in Kingsman.
nom’s eg kit for me
pocket maxxing
Hard to imagine you in "normie ass fits", I always took you for more of a roadie for a psych/prog rock band
JK of course, but some of your fits, such as this one were some of the first I thought were really cool when exploring mfa and related communities
I read some article about Stagecoach that mentioned John Wayne's jeans in that movie were 1938 Levi's 501s and I had a brain-expanding moment
Can't point to the exact fit but I remember an mfa post by @kamotejoe talking about his favorite pieces and it really broke me out of sticking to solid color basics and motivated to me to try and incorporate louder, bolder pieces and to try pattern mixing
I'm super late to the party, but I still think about this fit from rektunicorn
IIRC they made the pants? I feel like I asked about them before
God I'm sure he did
