Secondary EBB42 connection problem
I don't know if I did my config wrong. Unplugging the USB on the secondary toolboard then plugging it back gets it to connect, but it will not connect on its own after firmware restart.

I want to assure everyone that there is no power/wiring problems. Both USB ports, USB cables and toolboards have been tested to show zero problems with flashing
Here is my config
does that serial actually exist?
Thats the same serial from RatOS toolboard config
are you sure the two toolboards aren't trying to use the same serial?
They are using the same serial. Let me see if I can get another serial
I only see two serials despite there are three mcus plugged in. There are two EBB42s. How do I know which one is showing?
Plugging each EBB42 individually in shows the same serial. Plugging in both of them shows one serial
this gets set during flashing - so you need to modify it before flashing the second board
I see, because during RatOS setup I flashed one, unplugged it, then plugged the other one in and flashed it
I'm gonna try flashing again it one after another using DFU but with both plugged in, so it can identify each one with DFU
I went back to the configure page with both toolboards plugged in, I flashed manually after doing DFU on the first board, then repeated the same flashing step with DFU on the second board, it is now still giving me the same serial.
@miklschmidt does the configurator support flashing two boards with different serials?
RatOS doesn't support more than one instance of the same board.
No
Or yes, but not if they're the same board / board definition
You'll have to wait to 2.1 for that
@necrodavid i think you want to check out #v-core-idex and helge's repo: https://github.com/HelgeKeck/vcore-idex/

Sounds like I have to run a crippled IDEX for now. I'll keep unplugging and plugging USBs until it's supported by RatOS
If I were to have a EBB42 and a EBB36 it would have worked
Working as fast as i can!
it would yes
Or an EBB42 1.0 and an EBB42 1.2 for that matter
That's great. For now I might just get one extruder ready and not worry about the other for a bit
