Non-denim patch jacket

looking to start a patch jacket soon. I never wore my last denim jacket so staying away from that. I'm thinking a surplus m65 or similar is gonna be my best bet, but open to suggestions, inspo pics, and other ideas!

I think an M65 might be kind of tough just because the pockets take up real estate. Someone link kyoko's red fit tho

A varsity or most bomber and some leather jackets are common options as well but obviously you could take just about any jacket and add patches A Dickies Eisenhower

Actually, this isn't unlike an m65 so if the pockets are big enough it could work great

I have a knackered Barbour jacket that I don’t particularly care for, which I want to turn into something more unique by adding some iron on patches I’ll probably also want to keep an ‘outdoorsy’ theme My idea is to add some US national park iron on patches my other idea is to add patches from places that I’ve already visited / lived in

thought of doing this on a canvas duffle and then decided pins would be easier - i have a goal to visit all the US national parks and i dont think i'd be able to fit 60+ patches. will probably put the pins on a canvas and frame it
