SuperPINDA (z probe) Always Triggered

SuperPINDA is connected to an Octopus Max EZ as described in the ratrig documentation and the BTT manual (which both agree with each other). Left to right wiring is: Black (switch), Blue (ground), Brown (+5v).
Upon powering switch, I get a glowing red LED from the SuperPINDA. Multimeter readings show a steady +5V between brown (+5V) and blue (ground). Without a piece of metal under the probe, there is zero volts between Black (switch) and blue (ground). Holding a piece of metal under the probe results in the red LED dimming, and 2.3V between the black (switch) and blue (ground) wires.
Regardless of there being a piece of metal or not under the probe, it always reads as "triggered" or closed in Klipper. Any ideas on what to do? I've attached my probe config as well.

check your connections to make sure they are good and you don't have something like a bad crimp or loose connection. Otherwise might be a bad probe

Checked the wiring again, and seems to be no issues with it. Someone else on reddit reported that their pinda (not a superPINDA) has about ~3V on the black wire when activated, which is close to my readings. Can anyone with a superPINDA verify my voltage readings, specifically the voltage between black and blue when metal is under the superPINDA? Also having issues where the board won't send 24V to my hotend (I've verified that my hotend works by using a bench power supply). Setting a temperature target for the hotend in klipper results in no temperature increase of the hot end, and using the multimer to probe the hotend connections on the board results in a reading of 0V (should be 24V). Literally everything else works as expected on this printer, except for the superPINDA and the 24v to the hotend. Can't for the life of me understand why those are the only two things that don't work on the printer. Not sure if my octopus max ez is the problem or if it is a configuration issue. Anyone with an octopus max ez who has had similar issues or any known issues with the configuration I might be running into? Otherwise I think the next option is to change the board out... SuperPINDA issue persists, likely will order a second probe and swap it just to see/test. As far as my hotend issue, discovered that the wiring diagram provided by ratrig is wrong (or, the MCU config profile is wrong, whichever you want to blame). The diagram shows connecting the hotend wires to the furthest left terminal, but the MCU config file references pin PF6, which is the furthest right terminal. How do I go about getting this corrected for future builders?

I've tried a new probe (a new superpinda, and two new chinese NPN NO probes with the appropriate config changes) and a new motherboard with no changes. RatOS does not log any changes in the sensor. Wiring has been checked and probed with a multimeter numerous times at this point. Tried new wiring and plugs. I cannot find any issues. At this point, I have no idea where to go. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can solve this? Found the problem - credit to @anon13._07409 who looks like had a similar issue and literally figured it out yesterday (so didn't show up in any of my initial searches). printer.cfg in the inductive probe section references "^probe_pin." It needs to instead reference "^ind_probe_pin." Updated it and now everything is working as expected.

Photo with all lines updated. Note, I am using a Chinese NPN NO probe right now. If you have a superPINDA you would use the line above. I'll swap the superpinda back in eventually

@miklschmidt did you change the probe pin alias?

No Where'd you get these from? Wait I've done a piss poor job of reviewing that Octopus Max EZ PR haven't i.. Wiring diagram is hella wrong

Inductive probe should've been connected here

ind_probe_pin is not standard RatOS pin name No other board has this Using those optocoupled ports are considered advanced usage (since it's never necessary with recommended probes, they're all 5v). I will fix the wiring diagram and delete that ind_proobe_pin prefix, @.ross13 if you want to keep using the optocoupled port, you need to use PF11.

Sounds good, glad it's all figured out now at least!

Sorry for the confusion!

Super sorry!!! I honestly didn't remember adding this second pin to the config, but it must have been me. 😅

No worries, my fault for not catching it!
