layer cracking
I am printing a large print and am getting cracking between layers.
PLA printed solid Jessie filament
Hotend at 210°C and 220°C
Bed at 50°C
0.4 nozzle with 0.2 layer height
4028 part cooling fan set 35%-50%
It seems to happen in multiple places on the same layer when the cracks do occur.

The outter ends/edges are always complete.
I think I'm going to try again with hot end temp raised from 210-220 to 240°C
What speed and acceleration were you printing at?
Normal default ratrig superslicer preconfigured. I think it's 100 mm/s and 3000mm/s/s
I increased temp to 235°C and that resolved layer cracking issue
You can 100% speed that up. Use accel speed from your resonance graphs, and I set my base speed at 200 mm/s
For speed, how do you determine which to increase and by much?
I arbitrarily increased mine. Started at 200, tried 400, reduced due to defects to 300, reduced to 200
Trial and error seemed to work fine. I just printed a model a few times and changed as needed.
