my extruder didnt work
Hi I have a problem with my extruder when I want to extrude or retract it does this :
"DRV_STATUS: 00160090 s2vsa=1(ShortToSupply_A!) olb=1(OpenLoad_B!) cs_actual=22"
And I don't know why ?
Is this a loose cable or my extruder is dead?

Check your cable and your crimps. ShortToSupply indicates a problem with the wire or the connectors.

Thx I will do it
Can also be the driver as well, either broken or not seated properly

how I know if it's the drivers?
I just tested the wire and it's ok
unwilling-turquoiseOP•2y ago
I'm not sure when you talk about driver it's this?

unwilling-turquoiseOP•2y ago
because I inverted two of those to test them but I have the same error
Yeah those are the drivers. It's possible the extruder driver is broken
unwilling-turquoiseOP•2y ago
well if it was the case , if I switch it with an other one , it would work no?
or is it the part of the mother board that is behind it?
I'd try switching the driver first to see if that fixes it

I did it but nop
same error
You replaced the extruder driver with a new one?
unwilling-turquoiseOP•2y ago
actually my wire are connect with waggo to be sure that it not a bad solder that cause the error. If you have the same extruder can you telle me if I did something wrong is the wiring?

unwilling-turquoiseOP•2y ago
yup
I switched it with an other
It could be a lot of things then. Bad extruder, bad cable, bad board.
I am not at home right now to check
unwilling-turquoiseOP•2y ago
ah np
What extruder are you using and is it set correctly in your .cfg?
unwilling-turquoiseOP•2y ago
yes it's the lgx lite
Ah I have an orbiter
There still could be a break somewhere in your cable. Do you have an extra one just to check?
unwilling-turquoiseOP•2y ago
in fact the yellow blue red and green cable are fixed inside the extruder
Ahh gotcha, hmmm yeah it could be a lot of things unfortunately. Best you can do I think is eliminate the options one by one. If you replaced the driver then it must be something else. Hopefully not a broken octopus

how do I do to replace the pin in the .cfg
?

unwilling-turquoiseOP•2y ago
if I want to use the other motor connector of the motherboard?
i don't find a good pinout of the octopus 1.1
is it possible that my extruder stepper is the problem?
ok I just checked with an other nema and YES my stepper IS THE PROBLEM
because it run fine on the nema
but I don't know why
I just finished the setup of my printer I litterally never printed with it before
well in fact I checked it ONE time and it worked
any idea on what I did that could have dammaged the stepper
just to know to don't do it again
No clue, might have already been damaged when you got it
unwilling-turquoiseOP•2y ago
Idk
but know why it don't work is already very cool even if I have to rebuy a part
Glad you were able to find it! Those situations where a lot can be going wrong are annoying to troubleshoot

yup
UPDATE I M FCKING DUMB
the cable of my extruder don't have to be linked red with red blue with blue etc...
the correct wiring with a lgx lite extruder if you want to expand the length of the cable are :
blue with blue
yellow with red
green with green
and red with black
it work like that if you take the extra length from the stepper cable
