Anyone else hate the loafers with shorts and white socks look? That’s all I’m seeing on tiktok rn and I want to like the trend so badly so I can wear loafers more but I Just can’t

It took me a little bit to warm up to loafers and white socks, but now I absolutely love it! It's ok if you don't like it though, you're allowed to have opinions
i was a birkenstock + socks hater too but I came around eventually

Personally, I think it’s super fun. Also, loafers w/white socks is a classic Ivy thing and it’s cool to see younger folks doing their own thing with it
I dig it with offbeat Ivy looks, and especially with black loafers. Though when I tried it with earth toned shorts and shoes, my wife said I looked like a German tourist lol

im always concerned with why people "dislike" things
like sure, i can understand not being into it. like "jsut wear pants" or "lean into shorts and go sockless"
but not likin something due to ubiquity is always interesting to me
I dont own any white socks so I am a fan of loafers+shorts+slouchy grey or tan socks. I find it makes the look a bit more comforatble for my personal taste
I think it looks better than without socks at least on my own body and proportions
I don’t really mind it on other people but I don’t think I’d wear it myself just because it’s not really my style.
I'm personally not a fan of the look either. But I don't have my finger on the pulse of current fashion as much as most here. Still warming up to wide pants (but on board for high-waisted!)
