new filament, gaps in layers

Printer has been working great. I changed from esun PLA+ to PrintedSolid Jessie PLA. I am using the default settings in superslicer for ratrig PLA. Hot end temperature is set to 195°C and looks like recommended temperature for the filament is 200-215°C. I think I will retry with hot end temp set to 200 or 205°C. Are these results consistent with low hot end temp? I think makes sense. Looks like under extrusion because the material isn't hot enough.

Increased temperature and it's looking much better. Mmm, spoke too soon

This was at 205°C Do I need to go higher? Trying again at 210°C Mmmmmm, still having issues.

Went up to 215°C. Almost all good, except for the very top. What else can I do?

perhaps I should try tightening the grub screw for wheel tension on the orbiter 2.0? I unloaded the filament this morning and inspected; small marks from teeth digging in, but not very deep so I think filament tension is okay, and left it alone I made a new print of just the top section, the problem area, and witnessed extruder clicking/missing steps I then increased temperature from 215 to 220, and the top section printed correctly so now I'm rerunning the whole part at 220 it seems that's what I need to do to make this work, but also is hot for PLA?

Depends... Enhanced pla often has a blend of other plastics in it that require more temp I wouldnt worry about it at 220... Given the plastic and speeds of more modern printing, more temp is usually needed

Printed this today without issue. I backed off on the tension screw for the extruder; I think that was the issue.

220 for PLA is not strange,... 195 for PLA is imo way too low.. I much rather print a bit to warm than to cold... I looks like you sorted it out!
