Im not a fan of regular Carhartt it fits like a potato sack and tbe fabric feels harsh to me
Their acrylic beanie is GOATed and had both mine for almost a decade
owning and wearing the same beanie for a decade, you love to see it
I’m my own NPC
the logo kinda ruins this brand for me.
also, it kinda gives off rural lower-class vibes. (edit: i take back this comment)
Is there something wrong with rural working class folks???
weird comment following how the logo ruins the brand
A broken-in pair of canvas carhartt dungarees are more comfortable than a pair of pajamas. There is more than just hype underlying carhartts dominance in the workwear market.
In Europe Carhartt WIP is pretty popular and non associated with rural world
Carhartt makes (and made) some of the most iconic pieces.
Carharrt is wildly more expensive in Europe and it's annoying
definitely seen as more of a streetwear brand here
It’s also a streetwear brand here don’t believe the bait. Maybe not to the extent it is their because of WIP but carhartt is just as common in the city as it is the country.
yeah but it's just not somethig you see in the countryside here
I have a pair of Carhartt jeans I wear in my woodshop. I'm not trying to be fashionable in the shop, but quality for the price is excellent. Their pants have 7 belt loops, which seems like a small thing, but really makes a difference. 5 belt loops just shouldn't be acceptable.
Carhartt WIP is cool and also different from Carhartt.
YES, THANK YOU
this has been a minor annoyance of mine for so long
So is pretty much every one of the common work wear brands. It's so annoying
I honestly slightly get it with the logo. There was a shirt from them I liked but would have prefered without the logo
American Carhartt is 🐐 workwear for a reason, their canvas dungarees and jackets are impeccable. I adore their heavy canvas double knee pants, awesome winter pants that actually fit me pretty good (my profile name is not ironic). The old model Detroit jacket is also the true ideal #workwear jacket in cut, warmth, and sheer toughness.
As a man who has to size up in the waist to fit the legs and cheeks, 5 belt loops is a recipe for disaster and unwanted HR emails.
anyone have feedback on exactly how skinny carhartt’s slim fit is? because i tried on the “loose” today and it was giving major clown pants vibes. i don’t want to look like i’m wearing Slim Fit but it’s clear i need to get them slimmer
You should post a photo in outfit feedback. Pretty good chance it’s all in your head, but also you might get more recs on different carhartt fits
Agree, i've been there
i didn't bother to get one when i was in the fitting room cause it was so extremely obvious they weren't going to work out for me :(
artists depiction tho
hahaha
Silhouette looks cool as hell honestly
But given it’s an artist’s depiction we can’t rule out that you’re seeing it in an exaggerated light
Loose fit in mainline is a bit weird IMO - the top block is still pretty slim and it does look like it flares out a bit as a result

Oh, almost forgot: what American Carhartt did to the Detroit jacket with altering the cut and construction should be considered a war crime.
What did they do? I've been wanting a detroit jacket for some time.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Carhartt/comments/vrptfr/comment/iexfxju/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 tried one in-person at the store and it's actually terrible. you should genuinely get a vintage or WIP one at this point

What the fuck is Tiktok core?
These jackets have been around since before tiktok, or I, was born, and will be around long after.
the linings have changed year to year. is it the blanket stripe or quilted nylon?
it's not as thick or warm as mainline but it's way softer. imo blanket lined still requires layers no matter how thick it is if we're talkinga ctual cold
ah yeah you'll be completely fine
Yeah Ive never been on TikTok either, I'd not stress about social media micro trends at all
Hey man some parts do. December/January is BIG PARKA weather for me
I bought their double knee canvas pants.. any suggestions on how to style it?
Low gauge sweaters, sweatshirts, loose tshirts, just any version of global workwear
I wear mine in the winter with a Peregrine cable knit or my Inis Meain mock neck pretty often, they look great with heavier sweaters
