He gets one size smaller than normal size, so that’s 2 down from suggested size lol
He might get them hemmed too. I do know he doesn’t only wear Whitesville in that show, he wears some Merz tees too.

I know Japanese sizing is weird and they recommend sizing up so it makes me do math that I don’t want to do
I would suggest a large then. Unless you want it skin tight

Because my normal size in Japanese clothing is large that’s where It confuses me. I thought I’d need an XL because they shrink and I have a 20 inch chest

A few questions re: some Buzz Rickson’s stuff.
How do the 1942 chinos fit compared to the 1945? I haven’t been able to find any conclusive answers on that. I have two pairs of 1945s an they could do with a higher rise.
Do the “government issue t-shirts” shrink in a cold wash? Self Edge seems to think they do but nobody else says so.

If you dry them they will shrink
The cold wash isn’t what shrinks them it’s the heat from a dryer

I have one and I would absolutely size up
buzz rickson 18-18 1/2 chambray fits similar to my size 17 shirts in other brands including around the neck
