corrupted/pixelated 360 video
hi:) can someone please help with a solution to this issue? the 360 video render is extremely pixelated and seems like the file is corrupting. i have tried with 2 different video recordings on 2 different PC systems, and still get this error. is there a simple fix?
the snapshot above is a still from today's test run. i used the same base file that had successfully rendered this music video last year.

here is another video test... the overall movement is very jagged and then starts to pixelate very badly

as a side question.. regarding eye scale clipping.. whats the recommended value to set in the config file for the art not to get clipped inside the tunnel? -- what is the range?
having the same issue please help
@token_gamer Is your issue exactly the same? Does it happen on any scene or only on specific ones?
@token_gamer and @luvrworldwide Either of you using the beta or are you both on the main version?
And you're both using PC VR I presume?
@zandyxr Have you done a 360 recently?
I havent for about a month… all was good then. Only issue I’m encountering is the blue screen and file changes due to the using the experimental build but that’s something we’ve addressed before
Haven’t tried the reg OB build in awhile
All of it, tried both the main and beta yes PC done a successful 360 video no all of mine have pixelated images
Sorry - I am not sure I fully understand the part where you said:
tried both the main and beta yes PC done a successful 360 video no all of mine have pixelated imagesI can several ways of reading that depending where I put the punctuation! Can you clarify what you meant?
Both the main and experimental version exported the same pixelated render of the 360 video on a PC
Ok. The main thing I need to know now is if this happens on all scenes - or just some. Any idea?
All
OK. So - can you DM me a simple sketch that demonstrates the problem? (ideally the .tilt file plus the .bat and .usd files to generate the animation)
Sent dm
please confirm you were able to download the files? @andybak
im not on my pc atm
ok ty
thank you all for helping support this request
@token_gamer Looking at your batch file - it's not using Open Brush at all.
It was generated by the Oculus version of Tilt Brush and it's calling that when you render video
And the sketch file it's loading is from the Tilt Brush folder (not the Open Brush folder)
So if this is a bug then it's a bug in Tilt Brush (although quite possibly for us as well).
Just curious if you've got any .bat files that were generated in Open Brush?
I probably grabbed the wrong one we tried both and unity I'll redo it and get the open brush bat for you
Also what's the script for skyboxes in open brush?

new export of the same file in openbrush looped in adobe uploaded to youtube
@token_gamer What settings are you using:

and should the problem be obvious on the first few frames? or do i need to render the whole thing?
It's short
It's pixelated where the moving green lines are want to see if it can be sharper
This is a crop from a single frame so far:
That looks fine to me?
Yeah I don't see problems in the pics but the video is where I see it
Magnified:
Yeah looks sharp for you I'll see if that is satisfactory for her thank you
Is that just the picture from the render or is that a screenshot of the video
I feel like the video is pixelated and the pictures look fine

If anything the video is less aliased
i think the compression is smudging out some of the detail
maybe render the video from the stills in Premiere or something?
See if you can get better results from tweaking the compression settings?
But I'm not seeing the extreme corruption you originally reported at the start of this bug report
The title of this is "corrupted/pixellated" - but all I'm seeing is some typical compression artifacts?
