Z-Offset still doesnt save
Ive been having this issue for a couple of weeks now and i have no clue what it is. I even switched over to RatOS 2.0, but my z-offset still doesn't save and my nozzle stil smashes into the bed after i start the print. Pretty much everytime I start my printer i have to readjust my z-offset. I thought its a mechanical Problem, but at this point i dont think it is and im out of ideas. pls help me XD

How are you doing your z-offset?
here is what I do:
* home all
* z-tilt
* home z
* issue
PROBE_CALIBRATE
in the console
* use the "paper test" (https://www.klipper3d.org/Bed_Level.html#the-paper-test) - i.e. lower bed manually until paper is lightly gripped by the hotend nozzle
* issue ACCEPT
in console
* issue SAVE_CONFIG
in console
* restart system
* do a test print that is a big square
* live adjust until perfect first layer
Now I personally like to manually edit the offset now - but you should also be able to use the SAVE_CONFIG
command again and it update it.I do it the exact same way
then either your mechanical system is causing an issue(not moving correctly), or your probe is causing an issue(not accurate enough, not mounted rigid enough, etc.)
hm ok, maybe i found the problem. the thingy where i mount my probe to the eva is cracked and it wobles slightly that could be it rigt ?
absolutely!
that WILL cause issues
ok hopefully thats it im just gooing to print a couple of them
yeah i give up it wasnt because of the broken probe holder. i have no idea what it its and i stop now ive ruined a pretty much new bed because of that
Keck any idead what it could be ?

how do you know that it doesnt save it?
have you checked the printer.cfg
i missworded it it safes it but it doesnt use it
please share oyur printer.cfg
wil do in 1 minute
@Helge Keck here you go hopefully you can find something
which probe do you use?
it should be the superpinda
the one from the vcore 3.1 kit
i see the issue
your probe is too far away from the nozzle
i see a z-offset of 3mm
thats way to far
how close should it be more like 1mm
put your nozzle to the bed, loosen the probe, put a credit card undeath the probe, then retight it
between 1 and max 2mm
1.5 is perfect
ok will do that. thanks alot wouldve never found that
please do not hihack your own thread
oh my bad
