What do you have connected to the pi? I have seen some people have issues where extra devices kept it from booting properly.
plugged to the pi : 1 the power cable from buck converter. 2 the sd card. 3the usb to usb c cable .
i have unplugged and replug everything at least once
also tried different cables
i will try to remake an sd card as maybe the one in it is corrupted
so i tried another sd card and still no luck on either getting a ratos hotspot popping or connecting to the ratos.local , this kind of look bad for the pi no? i also run on a defect on the btt octopus maybe the both of them got damaged on shipping ?
it does look bad yes. Does the green light flicker when you turn it on? (that indicates activity)
Yes, Tho it is not as bright as before and now it is blinking faster and it never stop
So it's doing something, it's not completely dead. 🤔
Is there a way to check the wifi capacity of the card?
the card?
The board*
you mean the pi?
Yes
Not really, if the hotspot doesn't show up something is borked. You can try an ethernet cable.
Ethernet to the pc, ok does that change anything on the procedure ?
ethernet to a switch / your router
No, you'd be able to see it in your routers admin interface, and go to ratos.local/configure
Yeah ok i get the idea, do i need to do something to the pi for it to connect via the switch (like giving some overide in the supplicant file for it to use ethernet) or the original config will connect by itself?
Nope should just work 🙂
Ok big thanks will try
hi i am back for an update and not a good one after getting a switch set up close to the printer and it wirring it to the pi i still get no luck of having a ratos.local to connect or anything.... could i try soething else or the pi is done ?
Can't see the IP in your routers admin interface either?
i can't see the pi or any id matching the one of the pi tho i got a new id with the same ref as my switch is the pi because it is plugged on the switch ? anyway it is not responsive
the new is the 1st one and the switch the 3rd
Can you see any wired devices here? Those are all wifi
If you plug a PC into the switch, does it show up?
The pi is wired to a wifi switch so i suppose it would appear here
as you can se no trace of ratos online in the window of the online devices
after some reserch the green led code (flashing sequence) is not a classic error code it could only come from: faulty power supply / faulty pi / wrong hdmi cable type / screen not compatile with the pi .... so it realy look like a faulty pi as my alim is with a buck converter with enought voltage and amperage and no hdmi or screen.... i think this is due to shipping as my octopus was also broken
That sucks!
