manta m8p V1.1 install

Well first to say hi to all just found this site and glad to be here. Also i'm no expert on Klipper. I have a Manta M8P V1,1, CB1 and a Ebb42 V1.2 I followed the setup RatOS setup guide Installed the board then installed the Ebb42 which it flashed in DFU mode. Opened Maisail did all the updates etc. Then I installed the V core Three and well here my problems began. So with the help of someone else who has the Manta M8P running sent me his setup to following. I tried using his config but still nothing Klipper will not connect and after a bit I get a mcu error. It does not say what is wrong like. To try and find the problem I have not connected the EB42 yet but have only the basics. Any help as how to track down the problem is welcome.

Hi thanks for the quick replay these are the printer config and custom config, I know I have to change the part where i'm using the Bl Touch and not the probe. This config was to see if it was working even if my inital idea is to use the EBB42 which i flashed durng the RatOS install. Thanks for your help

question i still have to connect the endstop will that cause a oprobklem?
blacksmithforlife
and what is the error you are getting (screenshot)? you also need to include line 99. The toolboard include on line 294-295 just overrides the defaults from line 99

ok include 99
blacksmithforlife
that first klipper one is normal and not an error. The unable to connect to MCU means either it didn't flash correctly or the USB connection isn't good. What is the output of lsusb?

you just need to override for your specific setup. So in the USER OVERRIDES section you would add
[extruder]
sensor_type: <YOUR TYPE>
[extruder]
sensor_type: <YOUR TYPE>

Not important but can you change the name from Raspberry Pi to CB1 in Mainsail?
blacksmithforlife
not in mainsail - you would have to make your ratos install dirty to do it (not recommended as it causes other problems). I did create https://github.com/Rat-OS/RatOS-configuration/pull/104 so if you want this functionality I would contact @miklschmidt and up vote it

There's no good way to do this currently without significantly increasing complexity or ugly hacks so it's a cosmetical problem you'll have to deal with for now, unfortunately.

Ok like I said not important. Thanks for the reply.
