snap to grid and angle snap not precise
It's still off. It looks fine from one angle but crooked from a different point of view.

More info please - and maybe a screengrab or example sketch
Just sent vid link over. It looks fine from one angle but completely off at another angle. Tried everything. 90 didnt work either. Everything was a bit off.
OK. That video is only using angle snap (15 degrees) so I'm not going to ask about grid snap at the moment.
But I just tried to do something similar with both grid and angle snap and it worked fine
15 degrees is a weird setting when you want to snap to the vertical. What happened with 90?
same thing happened with 90....straight on one side, crooked from different angles. Are you making something then placing snap to grid or starting with snap to grid? I do it the first way because I often make things first then snap them
ok so youre activating the snap first?
I dont
Here's what I did:
1. Used ManyAround to create a column (it's automatically created perfectly vertically so the initial angle is fine)
2. Set snap angle=90 and snap grid to something big enough to create spacing.
3. Selected the column. As soon as I move it, the center point snaps to the nearest grid point.
4. I hold on to the column whilst pressing the button to "stamp" a copy at each grid point.
and you looked at it from the side and it wasnt crooked?
I can give it a go again....
Not sure whats going on at my end....prob because I moved it from the center point initially after creating it....that may be the issue
Make sure snap angle is on before you try moving it - and never use an angle as low as 15 (unless you actually need 15)
ok will do that thank you....was driving me nuts.....
I'll mark this is "solved" unless you're still having problems?
Thanks yes I think the issue is moving it from the original position before activating snap
