Updating from 2.0.0-beta to 2.0 official release
Hi all, I'm currently running RatOS 2.0.0-beta and I don't see a way to update it to the stable release without re-flashing the SD card completely. Is there a way to specify the stable release when updating, and if not, what do you think is the safest way to backup my current config? Thanks!

You should be fine for now, there are only minor OS changes and you're already on the correct branch.
You can reflash you want, but it won't change much.
The only changes in the release vs beta2 is screen support, IIRC.

Thank you!
@miklschmidt my 2.0.0-beta changed to v2.x: v2.0.0-51-ga1b5867 after a recent update, but I see main release is at 2.0.1. Do we need to re-flash if we want to be on release now?
If you were on beta - the safest thing to do is reflash the latest version to the SD card
fair enough, thanks
You're good. Only OS changes are for screen support. You can stay on the Beta image if you want for now. You're running the same code as the current 2.0.1 release 🙂
But i presume beta will not automatically roll over into release?
it will and it did
All the repositories are running the production branch
Then the current 2.0.0 version indicator while release notes 2.0.1 is just a tag ?
yeah i just forgot to tag the other repositories.. bad habit
ahhhhh, now it makes sence
It'll be built into the release code soon so i don't have to remember each time 😄
that's clear, thanks for the clarification!
👍
@miklschmidt One question... from what I understood in the previous conversation, those of us who are in beta should receive an automatic update, well, I am in:
RatOS v 2.0.0-beta2 (bullseye).
and I haven't got the last update RatOS v 2.0.2 yet.
Thanks in advance
There is no 2.0.2
sorry, I was referring to 2.0.1 hehe
There's no 2.0.1 configuration tag either. Don't worry, you're on the newest version.
