Printer fails to probe a bed mesh when starting a print
Hey, I have a problem with my V-Minion, whenever it goes to do a bed mesh, it manages to probe some points, but suddenly plunges the nozzle into the bed (thank you for that spider coupling). The Mainsail console spits out this:

Any ideas what may cause this? The sample retract distance is 3mm

No trigger on probe after full movementyour probe isn't triggering. Since it seems to be sometimes I would guess bad wiring or connection
Then I have to open up the electronic enclosure again.. damn
The probe seems to trigger reliably between 1.49 and 1.5mm, I don't think the wiring is the problem, though it doesnt hurt to check
it may in that spot but have you checked all the areas of your bed? Did you use good wire and not extend it using solder?
Should also note that I updated the system yesterday
that is a red herring
Got a successful bed mesh on the fourth try
Red herring?
[from the practice of drawing a red herring across a trail to confuse hunting dogs] : something that distracts attention from the real issuei.e. it has nothing to do with your probe problem

what probe are you using? you can try to increase the sample retract to check if the probe/wiring are working properly.
Is always failing in the same area(within 1-2 probe points)?
