4028 fan issue after updating to ratos2

Having some trouble with my fan working since updating to ratos 2.0. board wiring attached. I've gone through the config directions and it seems like everything is set properly. Part cooling Fan no longer turns on at all.

Are you sure you correctly attached the PWM and Tach wires?

I've swapped both and neither works

line 308 [include mainsail.cfg] what is this?

I'm wondering if I burned out my fan somehow or broke a connection somewhere...

if you remove the PWM and tach wires it should spin at 100%

Oh idk I saw that somewhere when I first was setting up the printer and added it and then just never took it out Yea it's not spinning at all I'm using an octopus 1.1

time to do the basic troubleshooting - confirm wiring is good, confirm power is good, confirm you attached the wiring correctly, cleanup your printer.cfg to bare minimum for testing

Yea I've gone through most of that already haha... Gonna check my wire extensions again maybe I broke a connection somewhere Ah yeah, it seems one of my less than stellar solder joints broke Nevermind 🙂

don't use solder joints for this reason. Use a real connector that is meant to be used in an environment that moves

What do you suggest? Hmm still nothing

I cut my stuff short, used JST-SM connectors to attach to https://www.igus.com/product/1013?artNr=CF9-03-16-07-03-INI and then used that chainflex wiring (which is industrial grade) to run unbroken to the control board (octopus pro in my case) and terminate using JST-XH or other appropriate connector

How realistic is it that I fried the fan? I don't really know how it would have happened but I tried another fan plugged into the same port and it at least turns on Nevermind it's still the wiring. Going to just totally redo the wire
