No parsers after EmuDeck/Steam ROM Manager install

Fresh install of Bazzite + Emu Deck via ujust scripts. I have setup my emulators but I have no parsers inside Steam ROM Manager.

Can I use ScopeBuddy to modify the gamescope settings of Gamemode?

Hi, I am currently trying to make a PiP setup, whereas a video player stands on top as an overlay. It works great using GAMESCOPE_EXTERNAL_OVERLAY as a window property, but only in gamescope session that I create. It never worked in game mode. After a while, I realized it may be due to MangoHud. I think it's replacing the overlay I am trying to add myself. I want to run game mode without MangoHud, but I can't modify the gamescope-plus-session file as this is an immutable distro. So, my question: is there a way i can use ScopeBuddy to modify/overwrites what gets fed to gamescope when I boot into gaming mode? Thanks....

Unity bug glitch

Handheld Daemon (Steam OS Issue) (PIcture of code given in Konsole)(No Decky Plugin)

I know its Steam OS and a longshot but was wondering why Handheld Daemon doesnt work on it using a Legion GO after the update on April 2nd. Attached is the code given. This was after doing a full wipe and reinstalling. No decky plugin.

Black screen after using the meta + p menu

So, i have a probably quite niche issue, my desktop mode broke after i connected a display link hub connected to a projector, the meta + p menu popped up, and i selected "internal screen only", thing is, that disabled the projector screen, but didn't put the steamdeck screen back, so now, my gaming mode which is set up on startup works, however as soon as i switch to desktop mode, i just have a black screen, any way to fix the issue without reinstalling bazzite ?, note that i can HEAR the os wor...

Solution:

Oh ! i got it working, i'm stupid, the built in screen's resolution was set to 800x600 instead of the normal 800x1280 that's why it didn't work

shrinking partition to move bazzite from sata ssd to nvme

I want to switch how my system is set up and having issues. Currently I have bazzite on an old sata ssd (1tb) and my old win 11 install on my nvme drive (512gb). Flatpak notifications are broken for many apps

(KDE) Flatpak applications e.g. Thunderbird, Vesktop etc, act weird - you can't click them, text isn't aligned correctly etc. If I overlay Thunderbird with rpm-ostree or use AppImage for supported apps, then notifications work as expected - you can click them in order to bring up their associated windows. (bazzite)can't install steering wheel drivers

I was trying to install drivers for my steering wheel using this git repo (https://github.com/Kimplul/hid-tmff2?tab=readme-ov-file), but every time I try to sudo yum, it throws an error message leading to documentation page (which is no help at all). Am I doing something wrong? Isn't Bazzite Fedora based?

Ryzen 9800x3D system hangs when using Ai-Tuning Optimizations

I've noticed that the system completely hangs (no black screen, no kernel panic, just complete system freeze) -- When on BIOS the "Core Tuning" is enabled to "Ai Tuning" and/or with Level 2/Level 1 System Optimizations. Cannot shutdown, wake, sleep,etc.

The entire computer seems to stay on. All RGB, Fans, GPU all stay on after shutdown or sleep. I have to unplug the computer. Once I plug it back in, it boots up. AMD 9070xt ...

Installing ExpressVpn

Trying to install expressvpn. I've tried using distrobox and a podman container. Neither have worked so far. It also isn't on the software center For distrobox I've tried both a fedora and a ubuntu container. The install seems to quit out early in both cases I've tried using their installer but that quits out early, and too fast for me to read the message for as to why it's failing...

Solution:

found out that expressvpn uses openvpn which is built into bazzite/gnome. Used that instead
