Black screen after using the meta + p menu
So, i have a probably quite niche issue, my desktop mode broke after i connected a display link hub connected to a projector, the meta + p menu popped up, and i selected "internal screen only", thing is, that disabled the projector screen, but didn't put the steamdeck screen back, so now, my gaming mode which is set up on startup works, however as soon as i switch to desktop mode, i just have a black screen, any way to fix the issue without reinstalling bazzite ?, note that i can HEAR the os working, i just have no display at all.

Oh ! i got it working, i'm stupid, the built in screen's resolution was set to 800x600 instead of the normal 800x1280 that's why it didn't work

okay so, i managed to get an output from my deck by connecting a the official dock however i'm not able to get the main deck screen to work, i'll get ssh enabled incase i loose acess
I would suggest switching to a multi display mode first and checking if anything looks off for the internal screen’s configuration
Happened to me once when one of the TVs I connected to was acting quirky
how would i do that ?
as for the internal's screen configuration, nothing looks off to me other than resolution, all my settings are 1:1 with the working screen
so it's most likely a bug i'm guessing

so, i guess changing the display link settings set the deck's resolution to that, and when the deck's screen goes to an unsupported resolution it just goes black
That’s in line with what I’m seeing yes
-# and my desktop mode apparently just broke as well
ohno
Not the first time so it should be fine
also yeah i think the meta + p menu just breaks your screen configuration, i'll probably report that to KDE / suggest a change
… Should I even be surprised

Yep would appear that it defaults to 800x600 on a new (?) monitor
Which functions generically on most monitors but breaks on the deck screen
makes sense
i wonder if this could even be considered a bug / worth reporting to the KDE team
i'll do it to make sure but i'm not expecting much i guess
