I guess there is a problem somewhere in question becoz the velocity of mass and the disc itself both are in the same plane....if the velocity would not be in plane we would take the impulse due to normal reaction J=∆P i.e change in momentum in perpendicular direction and then we know Frictional force=uN....so frictional impulse would be uNdt...i.e u(∆P) in perpendicular direction..now u got the Frictional impulse u multiply with R/2 to get angular impulse and then angular impulse=change in angular momentum u find the velocity of disc....
