Ok, will focus on general process: is there a way to cancel the refresh-md automation on install.

Maybe today I'll just focus on local commands I can run to generate ISOs from a fork/branch of ublue. My target it to create bootable images, past the ISO, possible using bootc if that's getting closer to possible.

USB Sticks for SCALE and Cloud Native
I got funding for 50 sticks for kids day! I'll be working with @iiamabby and my sun to help create usable self-contained bootable sticks. These are 400MB/s and should be fast enough for system drives for kids day.
