Haha, I hadn't initially known about the medical link when I first found them, just liked them. Was only when I was doing reverse image searches I found out abit more about them. Glad I asked in here before committing

Nice one, are you able to recommend any good brands? I'm not really a smart dresser, but would like to dress nicely when I do, which is why I'm here for advice I guess aha!

Okay thank you for your honesty! Would I be better off looking at a 2nd hand branded set of cufflinks? I won't wear them often so don't want to spend mega money, but I've seen what I would assume are good branded items for reasonable price 2nd hand

Yeah so I was thinking of wearing links and the button as a lapel pin like you say.
I can't really explain why I like it so much, just think it's really cool looking symbol and abit different. Perhaps it's the symmetry

All of your points are very valid, and greatfully received! I think I'll take your advice and stick to ensuring fit and quality is there as a priority. I shall look into a Paisley tie and pocket square though as even as bold as the ones I've picked out are, there's other patterns I'm seeing online which I prefer. Thank you for your help and advice!

I'm struggling to find anything, which probably isn't the best sign!
I think my main question is could it be worn with DM boots, or is that a stretch too far?
I take your point with the suit, and I think that was the biggest draw to it for me that it had some personality.
If it's relevant I'm bald with a large beard, so between that and the pattern on the suit perhaps that is enough for my edgyness quota aha
